All polycom vvx desk phone models are very similar on how to install them. If your LAN (Local Area Network) is set up for POE (Power Over Ethernet) you will not need the power supply. But you will start by connecting the phone together with the Handset, Handset Cable, and desk phone stand. Once the phone is connected together you will install the network cable from the network jack to the LAN port on the back of the phone (Icon looks like 3 dots with lines connecting them together). If you are going to connect your PC to the phone, connect the PC with an ethernet cable to the PC passthrough port on the back of the phone (Icon of a PC). That applies to offices that only have 1 network jack to utilize.
